How to Change the Time Zone on a Dell Windows Computer
Purpose:
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for updating the time zone settings on a Dell computer running Windows 10 or Windows 11. Setting the correct time zone ensures accurate system logs, calendar events, and scheduled tasks.

Steps to Change the Time Zone:
Option 1: Through Windows Settings
1.Click the Start menu (Windows icon on bottom task bar).
2. Select Settings (gear icon).

3. Click Time & Language.

4. In the left-hand menu, select Date & time.

5. Under Time zone, click the dropdown menu and choose the correct time zone for your location (e.g., Central Time).
6. Ensure "Set time zone automatically" is turned Off (if manual control is preferred).

7. Close the settings window.
Alternative Way:
Time & language > Date & Time
1. Locate "Related Links" > "Additional clocks"
2. Select "Change time zone..."

3. Select "Central Time (US & Canada) > Select "OK"

Optional: Sync Clock with Internet Time Server
To ensure the clock remains accurate:
In the Date and Time window (via Control Panel), go to the Internet Time tab.
Click Change settings…
Check "Synchronize with an Internet time server", then choose a server like time.windows.com.
Click Update now, then OK.
